LET’S FACE IT is part of my new pendant series using mixed metals on stacked pancake and impression dies. This one is about 2″ in diameter and about 1/2’’ deep. The face represents Barnabas, a 17th century religious figure who, unfortunately, was burned at the stake. Barnabas is sterling silver and impressed in a 20 ton hydraulic jewelry press. He rests on a copper pancake or blanking die shape. The bottom section is embossed sterling silver, textured for design and depth. The bail is also sterling. All parts are either soldered or cold connected together.
Each element is created from stock sheet metal, formed, sawn, cut, or shaped by hand, soldered, textured and patina-ed, polished, riveted and assembled, then photographed for advertising and posterity. No two are exactly alike.
It comes with an 18″ rubber choker and will be gift wrapped.
