Question – What is Thompson’s hardest fusing white to be used as an undercoat?
Answer from Tom Ellis:
Thompson’s hardest opaque white 80 mesh enamel is 1010. However, 1010 is not acid resistant and will mat when placed in acid or pickling salts. 1030 is the next hardest white and is acid resistant. It is the most popular for an all-purpose white base.
