I apologize for the high shipping costs on this item. I have to ship in a medium flat rate box since it is a long skinny item. It I tried to ship in an envelope or thinner box, it would poke right through :-(((

NOTE from Thompson Enamel about these firing forks:
The metal parts on Thompson’s firing forks are made with mild steel. It is normal for this type of steel to oxidize during the welding process and can also oxidize slightly over time. This does not in any way affect the use of the firing tools. If desired, oxidation may be removed with fine sand paper and a light coat of machine oil may be wiped onto the metal surface.
