Of the many wire cutters I have tried, Keiba is by far the best ever! I use them mainly with up to 16 gauge copper or sterling wire. They are Great for cutting jump rings! Keith Lo Bue recommends these for cutting steel rebar wire of up to 20 gauge. Heavier gauge steel wire will nick the cutting edges. They are not not meant to cut harder metals such as surgical steel.
No cutter gives a totally flush cut on both sides. The only difference between the Keiba Semi Flush and Full Flush cutter is that the semi-flush cutters have a bevel at the cutting edge, whereas the full-flush cutter don’t. The full flush cutters have one edge that creates a full flush cut in your wire. Photo shows the difference between the full and semi flush cutters. Keith LoBue recommends the Full Flush cutter for up to 18 gauge rebar steel wire.
POWER MAX – FULL FLUSH Keiba wire cutters – Ergonomic compound flush cutter that offers the finest in compound leverage construction at an affordable price. Leverage combined with an induction-hardened, high-grade steel jaw allows for extra close cutting. The handles are shaped to be ergonomically efficient and to prevent fatigue and possible injuries, which can sometimes accompany hours of cutting. Cuts up to 12 gauge softer metals such as copper. Length 6-1/2″ (165mm).
NOTE – Not meant for surgical steel, titanium, or harder metals.
Although the Eurotool stock photo that I use for this product has the words “hard wire” on the handle, the new stock says only “soft wire.”. The Keiba semi-flush cutters still say “hard wire” only because, according to Eurotool, the beveled edges are stronger because of their angle. The two cutters are made exactly the same except for the difference in bevel edge. These full flush cutters will cut one full flush edge, while the semi flush cuts a bevel on both cutting edges. I have used the full flush cutters for steel rebar “tie” wire for thousands of perfect cuts for several years with no problem at all.
Not intended for surgical steel or memory wire.

These are the best flush cutters I’ve ever used. Truly flush, no filing needed, and heavy duty. Love!
